How we handle your information.

Made by Monday is a web design studio operating as a division of Beacon Labs, a Canadian company. When this policy refers to “we,” “us,” or “Made by Monday,” it means Beacon Labs operating under the Made by Monday brand.

We collect personal information through three main channels:

• Project intake form. Name, business name, email, phone (optional), and the details you provide about your project (industry, goals, brand direction, budget tier, billing preference, etc.).
• Free guide signup. Email address and optionally your name, plus your opt-in choice for follow-up emails.
• Stripe payments. When you pay a build deposit, Stripe collects and processes your payment information directly. We never see or store your card details — we only receive a record that a payment succeeded.

We also receive aggregate, anonymous traffic data via Vercel Analytics (no cookies, no individual tracking).

We use the personal information you provide only for the purpose you provided it:

• Intake form data — to evaluate your project, schedule a kickoff call, deliver the website build, and contact you about your project.
• Lead magnet email — to send the requested guide and (only if you ticked the opt-in box) occasional follow-up emails with website and business tips.
• Payment data — to process transactions through Stripe and provide tax-compliant receipts.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We use a small number of service providers (“data processors”) to operate the site and deliver our services. Each processes only the data needed to perform its function:

• Vercel (hosting and analytics) — receives site traffic and stores form submissions and uploaded files
• Neon (database, US-East region) — stores persistent records of intake submissions and subscribers
• Resend (email delivery) — sends transactional and opt-in email
• Stripe (payments) — processes card transactions
• Cal.com (call booking) — handles scheduling for discovery and kickoff calls

These providers have their own privacy policies. We choose them for their stated commitment to data protection.

We keep client and prospect data for as long as the relationship is active, plus a reasonable period after for tax, accounting, and potential support purposes. Specifically:

• Intake submissions: indefinitely, unless you ask us to delete
• Payment records: 7 years (Canadian tax retention requirement)
• Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe, then permanently removed within 30 days

Under PIPEDA (Canada) and other applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Ask us to delete your information
• Withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time

To exercise any of these, email us at hello@madebymonday.ca. We aim to respond within 14 days. To unsubscribe from sequence emails, use the link in any sequence email or email us directly.

We use Vercel Analytics, which collects aggregate page-view data without cookies and without identifying individual visitors. We do not use Google Analytics, retargeting pixels, or any cross-site tracking technology.

Stripe and Cal.com may set their own cookies on their respective checkout / booking pages (which open in the browser when you interact with them). Those cookies are governed by their privacy policies.

Our services are intended for adult business owners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page tells you the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated directly to active clients and subscribers.
